A recent survey conducted in May to July 2007 among random sample of Internet users found that the most important search factor when searching dating sites is "age".
Users could choose from various options:
- Age
- Location
- Height
- Religion
- Body Type
- Ethnicity
- Marital Status
- Interests
- All of the above properties have equal importance
- Other
My first assumption was that most of the users will choose option 9 : "All of the above properties have equal importance" because love and friendship are influenced by many factors.
I ,for example, prefer someone who is older than me but I think (theoretically , because I'm married) I would date someone younger than me If he had similar interests and was single.Surprisingly Option 9 came only to the second place with 9% of the votes.Another surprise was that nobody chose "high" - I personally know a lot of women that will date only taller guys.
Here are the results:
We , at Copenda, took these results very seriously as you can see in the following screenshot:
I Will soon publish another survey about social networks search.
